Common questions
Is there a cooling-off period when buying a home in NSW?
For most residential purchases there is a five business day cooling-off period after exchange, unless it is waived or the property is bought at auction. Ending a contract during cooling off usually costs 0.25% of the price.
When should I contact a lawyer?
Before you sign anything or pay a deposit. A contract review before exchange is the best time to negotiate changes.
